Advanced RF IC increases RF integration and reliability, lowers total cost of ownership

Offered as the industry’s first fully integrated silicon-based down converter for Ku-band digital video broadcasting satellite low-noise block (LNB), the TFF1004HN RF IC is said to be far more cost effective than current discrete solutions using GaAs components and dielectric resonator oscillators. Supporting RF input frequencies between 10.7 and 12.7 GHz, and using a selectable LO operating at 9.75 or 10.6 GHz, the device complies with Asian and European standards.

The part is manufactured using the company’s advanced SiGe BiCMOS process, QUBiC4G. In addition, the chip is housed in an HVQFN24 package that measures only 4 x 4 x 0.85 mm.
