Holtek HT46R4A A/D type MCU

Source: | Publishing Date:2007-12-28

The HT46R4Ais a new addition to Holtek’s range of Cost Effective A/D type microcontrollers. Internal to the device is a 9-bit A/D Converter, 4K capacity Program Memory, 192 bytes of Data Memory, 6-level stack as well as a host of other features. As for packaging types, the device is supplied in 44-Pin QFP, 32-Pin DIP and 28-Pin SKDIP/SOP packages. This range of functions make the device most suitable in application areas such as household appliances, automotive peripheral and other intelligent type controllers and with its simplified structure, provides product developers with a device with excellent price/performance ratio.

The HT46R4Ahas a Holtek 8-bit microcontroller as its core and with its peripheral circuits, such as the internal 6-channel 9-bit A/D converter, makes the device suitable for use in applications which have to process external environmental signals, such as temperature/humidity meters etc. Additionally the device includes two 8-bit PWM functions and up to 27 I/O pins which can be used for motor control and to interface to different kinds of external switches. The internal Programmable Frequency Divider function, which can generate audio frequency signals, also enhances the device’s capability of forming microcontroller based systems.

To support its devices Holtek supplies a comprehensive range of hardware and software development tools. Known as the HT-IDE3000, the system includes many useful features such as memory/register read and write facilities, hardware breakpoints with logical setups, full trace analysis facilities etc. as well as many others. This range of features ensures products designers have all the tools they need to for rapid and efficient microcontroller program development and debug.
