The Ranger 2101 and Ranger 2104 extenders push USB 1.1 or 2.0 up to 100 m using Cat 5 cable. They provide either a single USB 2.0 remote port or a remote hub with four ports.
The systems include Local Extender and Remote Extender modules and a power adapter. They have a bus-powered local unit at the computer and ac power at the remote. Both systems are true plug and play with Windows, Macintosh, or Linux. (2101, $349; 2104, $389—available now.)
