With the development of the full screen, in order to minimize the position of the front camera on the front side, there are only the design of the liftable camera, and the design of the slide cover. Now there is a "screen camera", no matter what. The requirements for the front camera module of the mobile phone are as small as possible and thin, and the shooting function can not sacrifice too much. The size of the camera module is determined by the size of the CMOS image sensor and the lens.

In order to meet this market demand, on January 22, Samsung Electronics announced the launch of the smallest CMOS image sensor, specifically for full-screen mobile phones.

According to reports, ISOCELL Slim 3T2 sensor size 1 / 3.4 inches, single pixel size 0.8¦Ìm, maximum output of 20 million pixels, support ISOCELL Plus pixel isolation technology and Tetracell four-pixel integration technology (ie equivalent 5 million pixels, 1.6¦Ìm).

According to Samsung, the 5.1mm sensor can be used for screen openings or bangs screen phones. It can be used as a front-end or a telephoto camera for mid-range phones. Compared to the previous 1/3-inch, 20-megapixel CMOS, the module height is reduced by 7%; compared to the 13-megapixel, same-height CMOS, the 3T2's digital zoom capability is increased by 60%.

According to the plan, Samsung will mass production in the first quarter of this year. In the future, Samsung's mid-range aircraft and domestic mobile phones represented by Meizu and Xiaomi are expected to be adopted.
