The market for trade warfare and garbage sorting sensors is just needed, how will the sensor market develop in the future?
Sensor technology as one of the foundations and three pillars of information technology, with the development of the "Internet +" form, and China to achieve "Made in China 2025", the status of sensor technology and sensor industry is increasingly prominent.
At present, China's sensor industry has a complete industrial system from technology research and development, design, production to application, and the market demand is strong. However, more than 95% of China's sensor companies are small enterprises, small scale, weak research and development capabilities, poor scale efficiency, and technical level remains to be determined. Ascension, medium and high-end sensors need to be imported from abroad.
Nowadays, the Internet of Things is being heated up, and all the action links and application scenarios of the Internet of Things need to be completed by sensors. Sensors have become the basic hardware and necessary conditions for the Internet of Everything. According to industry estimates, by 2019, China's smart sensor market will reach a scale of 96 billion yuan.
Moreover, the dispute over trade wars, the environmental monitoring market triggered by garbage sorting is just needed, and the corresponding sensor market will reach a market scale of hundreds of billions of dollars.
In response to these problems, how should China solve it step by step?
A professor at Tsinghua University once said that the level of domestic laboratory research is not very poor, but unfortunately, it has not been fully utilized, and many sensor technologies have not been transformed into mature products entering the market. Correspondingly, the research of sensor technology requires a long time investment. The development of a sensor can only mature in 6-8 years. Generally, Chinese companies cannot afford such a long cycle. Therefore, the sensor technology and industry are strong, will be stagnant.
This trade war, high-end instrumentation is also in the industry, facing the technical blockade, the improvement of China's instrumentation industry technology, only from the main import-oriented to self-reliance, only the core technology is firmly in control In your own hands, you can gain a foothold in the 100 billion market, and the sensor as the most important data acquisition portal of the Internet of Things technology will usher in a broad space for development. It can be said that the need to promote technological advancement to a certain extent is a powerful driving force for the realization of localization goals.
The 100 billion-level market is about to break out completely. Domestic enterprises have to go out of their own "roads".
According to the traditional statistics in the past, sensors are mainly used in four fields of industry, automotive electronics, communication electronics, and consumer electronics. With the introduction of environmental protection policies, in recent years, the application of sensors in environmental monitoring has become A new hot spot. The comprehensive implementation of the "blue sky defense war" and the implementation of the "garbage classification" policy, China's provinces and cities have successively built environmental air quality testing stations. Among them, the monitoring of the environment is mainly in the three aspects of air pollution, water pollution and noise.
According to market research firm Yole Développement, the global gas sensor market will reach 920 million US dollars in 2021, with a compound annual growth rate of 7.3% in the next five years, of which environmental monitoring ranks third in all application areas. The arrival of “environmental heat” has made the environmental monitoring instrument industry even more hot. Domestic and foreign sensor companies have entered the field of environmental protection, and the 100 billion-level market is about to break out.
In the environmental monitoring industry, environmental sensors are favored by the public for their portability, intelligence, and variety. With the support of artificial intelligence, smart city and Internet of Things, the application of sensors has become a systematic trend.
According to the application field to distinguish the market, the analytical instrument sensors applied by the environmental monitoring station are large in size and high in price, most of which are imported from abroad, and domestic brands are few; the environmental monitoring sensors used in the industrial field are in the forefront of the domestic market, but still 50% use foreign products.
The main reason for the above factors is still subject to the basic problems of industrialization of new materials, equipment, production processes, etc. The level of domestically developed sensor development and manufacturing has contradicted the demand for high-speed growth, and can only rely heavily on imports. Domestic enterprises do not have core technologies and unified standards, and users do not dare to use domestically produced goods in order to maintain system consistency and stability, which also makes some domestic manufacturers increasingly lack confidence. The above is not only in the field of environmental monitoring sensors, which is a common problem in China's overall sensor industry. The gap between technical details, processing technology, and extreme environmental use and foreign products is the direction of improvement.
Where does the domestic enterprise go? First of all, it is inevitable to increase R&D investment, including manpower and capital to optimize technical and process details, achieve overall strength improvement, and promote market-oriented applications. Second, trade disputes, environmental monitoring stations and industrial applications should explicitly prohibit the use of imported products, support and encourage the conversion of sensor technology into mature products entering the market.
Finally, through industrial agglomeration, we can walk out of an industrial road and form a complete industrial chain with Chinese brands to meet the needs of the market.
Although the development of China's sensor industry is relatively lagging behind, we have made great progress in these years. The government's promotion of the National Integrated Circuit Industry Development Program is also supporting the development of the sensor industry. I believe that we will cooperate with foreign countries in the future. The gap will get smaller and smaller.
