Motor Hall sensor fault repair technology

Hall sensors, also known as position sensors, are mainly caused by sensor dropout, Hall integrated circuit failure, and lead disconnection.

1. The sensor is generally fixed at the end of the armature with the lead wire close to the magnetic steel. If there is any resin, the Hall IC can be firmly adhered to the original place again.

2. The lead is disconnected and re-welded; if the lead is disconnected at the root of the integrated circuit, it can only be replaced.

3. The Hall IC is disabled. It should be distinguished whether the internal circuit or the working power supply is faulty and needs to be determined by measuring the pin voltage. The specific measurement method is as follows.

The sensor typically has three pins, the first being the positive power supply, the second being the ground, and the third being the status output pin. As long as it is determined to be positive and ground, the last foot left is the output pin. Turn on the controller power supply, make the sensor work, find a magnetic steel with high field strength, repeatedly use the N and S poles to approach the sensor, and measure the signal change between the output pole and the ground with a milliampere meter or a signal meter. Its signal is simple, only "has" and "none", namely 1 and 0.

If there is no signal with S or N pole proximity, it can be determined that the Hall IC is invalid and should be replaced with a new one. The signal is actually a high-level voltage output, and the output voltage is above 5V. No signal output low level, no voltage output.

In addition, there may be no power supply, and there should be a voltage of 4.5 V or more between the detection power supply and the ground. Otherwise, the power supply is faulty.

Note that the replacement of the new sensor should be consistent with the original sensor type, the model is consistent, and the front and back directions should also be the same to prevent the pin order from being mistaken.

The Hall IC is a rectangular small square piece, in which one corner is a corner. Just before the welding, the direction of the missing corner can be recognized. In addition, the color of the three leads is different, and the order of the colors is recorded in advance. There is no error when soldering again.
