Single-bus, single-package chip offers a complete managed memory subsystem

Blending the key benefits of NOR, NAND and RAM in a unified architecture, the SST88VP1107 All-in-OneMemory comes configured with 512 Kbytes of boot NOR, 128 Mbytes of execute-in-place (XIP) code storage, 120 Mbytes of data storage, and 12 Mbytes of system RAM in a 10 x 13 x 1.4 mm LBGA package. Targeting mobile and embedded applications, the chip is said to be the only single-bus, single-package solution that offers a complete managed memory subsystem.

The device utilizes Pseudo-NOR technology which provides 128 Mbytes of XIP code storage and emulates high-density NOR by using NAND as storage with PSRAM as cache. It also offers a memory-mapped ATA area providing 120 Mbytes of data storage on the PSRAM bus, eliminating the need for an ATA physical interface.

In addition, the chip has a built-in flash file system, a memory management unit (MMU), and a hardware error checking and correcting (ECC) engine that corrects up to 8 random-bit errors and is tailored for advanced multi-level cell (MLC) and single-level cell (SLC) NAND technology
