The MH80 Series hybrid hard-disk drives are said to be the first offered in 160-Gbyte capacity. The drives have 256 Mbytes of flash optimized to work in tandem with Windows Vista capable notebook PCs.

The devices¡¯ OneNAND flash cache, when used with Microsoft¡¯s ReadyDrive software, is said to offer faster application launch speeds, faster boot and resume times, and longer battery lifeas the cache operates a greater percentage of time with the motor switched off. Track-to-track seek time is 2 ms, average seek time is 12 ms, and the 5,400-rpm drive has a 1.5-Gbit/s SATA interface.
