Production:
Samsung Electronicswill close two LCD factories in Southern China in order to focus on its production basein Tianjin, according to ChinaTechNews.com citing a report from Huaxia Times.
The South Korean company will reportedly shut down its LCD factories located in Zhongshan and Huizhou, but a company representative declined to give more details.
Samsung's LCD monitoroutput was reportedly 230,000 in September, down 14.8 percent from August's output. After closing the two factories, the company will reportedly focus on middle- and high-end monitors that yield higher gross profit.
