The flip-chip EMIF06-SD02F3 five-function six-line memory card filter/interface requires less than 7 mm2 of board space. The interface provides ESD protection (IEC standard), EMI filtering, level translation, signal conditioning, and a 2.9-V power supply with thermal shutdown.

The chip is compliant with standard and high-speed SD specifications, and with MiniSD, MMC and uSD/TransFlash. It has ESD protection that meets the IEC61000-4-2 Level 4 standard. The chip¡¯s bidirectional level shifters have 50-MHz operation and 3-ns typ propagation delay, and enable the interfacing of 2.9-V memory cards with 1.8-V host processors.
