Aeroflex Colorado Springs' New 3-Volt 1553 Transceiver in Production
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Aeroflex Colorado Springs, (NASDAQ:ARXX), announces production of a low-power 3-volt MIL-STD-1553 transceiver. Based on Aeroflex’s legacy 5-volt transceivers, the UT63M143 3-volt transceiver is ideal for avionic and aerospace applications and is fit and functionally compatible to industry standard transceivers.
“Customers have been requesting a drop-in compatible, industry standard 3-volt transceiver to aid in their avionic and aerospace design for some time,” said Anthony Jordan, Director-Standard Products. “Customers now have a 3-volt or a 5-volt transceiver to chose from that is drop-in compatible with Aeroflex’s standard 24- lead flatpack or 36-pin DIP packages. The 3-volt transceiver is also compatible with our SμMMIT databus.”
The UT63M143 is built on Aeroflex’s UT0.6μm CMOS technology, operates at -55oC to +125oC and is QML Q and V compliant. The 3-volt transceiver is available with total ionizing dose hardness from 300 krads(Si) up to 1 Mrad(Si) and SEL and SEU immune to 109MeV-cm2/mg.
The UT63M143 is $623.00 in QML Q lots of 100. Prototypes and production units are available now. It has been assigned Standard Microcircuit Drawing (SMD) 5962-07242.
