Holtek releases new HT46R343 A/D type MCU with OPA

Holtek Semiconductor has released its new HT46R343A/D type MCU with OPA. With a Program Memory capacity of 4Kx15, Data Memory capacity of 192 bytes and 37 I/O pins, the device also includes a 12-bit resolution, 16-channel A/D converter. The internal operational amplifier can have its offset voltage adjusted down via software to ¡À2mV, allowing its characteristics to reach that of an ideal device and opening up possibilities for new applications.

The HT46R343also includes 16 high-current drive pins which can drive an 8x8 LED display with a sink current of 40mA at 5V and a source current of -20mA at 5V, allowing high current components such as LEDs, LED matrixes, 7-segment displays etc. to be directly driven by the HT46R343, without the need for a current amplifying transistor circuit. In this way the application PCB area can be reduced and the circuit simplified. The HT46R343also includes an internal PFD function whose output can generate audio frequencies. Additionally, a Peripheral Clock Output, PCK, is also included, which allows the HT46R343peripheral components to use this PCK signal as a data signal synchronising source. The HT46R343is suitable for use in the small household appliance application area as and as small-scale controllers such as switching power supplies, induction cookers, washing machines, dryers, and multi function battery chargers etc.

As is the case with other Holtek MCUs, the device has excellent noise immunity characteristics, which in addition to its internal Watchdog timer and LVR functions, ensure that the MCU has excellent protection against erroneous operation. The device is available in a 44-pin QFP package.
