Holtek New Product Release 10-pin HT46R01/ HT46R02/ HT46R03 A/D MCU

Following on from the successful release of its 10-pin HT48R01, HT48R02and HT48R03I/O type MCUs, Holtek is now pleased to release three all new 10-Pin A/D type devices. With the part numbers HT46R01, HT46R02and HT46R03, the device are subdivided into 1Kx14, 2Kx14 and 4Kx15 OTP type Program Memory capacities, 64 byte, 96 byte and 160 byte Data Memory capacities, 8-bitx4, 9-bitx4 and 12-bitx4 A/D converter types as well as each device containing a single channel 8-bit PWM output. With regard to stack levels the devices subdivide into 4-level, 6-level and 8-level and while the HT46R01contains a single 8-bit Timer, the HT46R02and HT46R03devices contain two 8-bit Timer functions. Common features to all three devices are their eight I/O pins, their internal RTC Timer, external interrupt, buzzer output pins and 3-level low voltage reset function etc. All devices come in an ultra small 10-pin MSOP package type.

The HT46R01, HT46R02and HT46R03have four oscillator circuits to generate the system clock. These are an external RC oscillator, external crystal oscillator, internal RTC with internal RC oscillator and internal RC oscillator. This fully integrated RC oscillator can select fixed system frequencies of either 4MHz, 8MHz or 12MHz, the frequency of which will be valid over the full operating voltage range to within a tolerance of 5£¥. As this fully integrated oscillator requires no external components, if used, will result in the freeing-up of precious I/O Pins.

One very special feature of these new devices is in their small package outlines. With a footprint outline of only 3mm x 3mm, these 10-pin MSOP ultra small packages types have an even smaller outline than 8-pin SOP/DIP packages, making them extremely suitable for those application areas where space is at a premium. With low cost, low power and high efficiency as well as their multi-functional I/O pin types, the HT46R01, HT46R02and HT46R03series of devices will see uses in a very diverse range of traditional products as well as providing creative microcontroller solutions for yet unheard of application areas.

Holtek naturally supplies a full suite of excellent development tools to support product development for these three new devices. Known as the HT-IDE3000, this suite of hardware and software tools encompasses features such as real time emulation, full memory and register access, hardware breakpoints with logical setups, full trace facilities along with many others. Product designers with tight design schedules to meet are assured of having an excellent set of tools at their disposal for rapid program development and debug.
