MAX7359 - Serially Interfaced, Key-Switch Controller Detects Multiple Key Press/Release Events and Minimizes Total System Cost
发布时间:2007-11-03 浏览:4250次
- The MAX7359 is a key-switch controller that monitors and debounces up to 64 keys.
- This controller detects multiple key press and release events while minimizing total system cost.
- To enable this detection, the MAX7359 generates individual key codes for each press and release; to minimize cost, it integrates debounce circuitry so that no shift registers or RC filters are needed.
- The MAX7359 is ideal for smartphones or any other portable application that requires multiple key-entry detection.
SUNNYVALE, CA—October 29, 2007—Maxim Integrated Products (Pink Sheets: MXIM) introduces the MAX73592-wire interfaced, low-EMI key-switch controller that detects multiple key press and release events on up to 64 keys. To provide such event detection, this device generates and stores individual key codes in a FIFO register for each press and release to allow the monitoring of multiple key-switch events. To minimize total system cost, the MAX7359 reduces the burden of software development, and integrates debounce circuitry that eliminates the need for shift registers and RC filters. A cost-effective and easy-to-use solution for detecting multiple key presses and releases, the MAX7359 is ideal for smartphone keypads, gaming controls, and any other portable applications that require multiple key-entry detection.
