- The DS1875 is a highly integrated PON/SFP controller with an APD boost converter for fiber optic modules.
- This device simplifies the implementation, speeds the time to market, and minimizes the chip count of triplexer PON modules.

The DS1875 also features a startup control loop that supports laser initialization in less than 5ns. The receive power (RSSI) monitor provides 29dB of dynamic range and programmable APD overload protection. DAC outputs for tracking error, laser bias, laser modulation, and APD bias are automatically adjusted based on lookup table values indexed in the internal temperature sensor. Quick-trip monitors are included for complete laser eye-safety protection.
The DS1875 is fully specified over the -40°C to +95°C temperature range. It is available in a tiny, 5mm x 7mm, 38-pin TQFN package. Pricing begins at $2.50 (10,000-up, FOB USA).
