The CAP7 AT91CAP7S customizable ARM7-based MCU incorporates metal programmable cell fabric (MPCF) technology to integrate up to 450 K equivalent ASIC gates for custom logic. The chips tools allow easy conversion from an FPGA netlist to the metal programmable block.
Based on an ARM7TDMI processor core, the chip has 160 Kbytes of fast SRAM and either 250 or 450 K blocks of metal programmable ASIC gates. Peripherals include USB device, SPI master and slave, two USARTs, three 16-bit timer counters, an 8-channel 10-bit A/D converter, and a full complement of supervisory functions.
