Hermetically sealed capacitors provide up to 72,000 µF for avionics and military applications
With a capacitance range from 3,300 to 72,000 μF, the HE3 wet tantalum capacitors are presented as offering the industry’s highest capacitance per unit volume of any similar devices on the market. The hermetically sealed high-energy capacitors withstand highly stressful hazardous environments and suit energy-storage and pulse-power applications in avionics and military devices.
The capacitors use the Vishay’s SuperTan hybrid cathode technology combined with anode designs. ESR is 0.035 Ω at 25°C and 1 kHz.
Operating temperature range is 55° to 85°C. Standard capacitance tolerance at 120 Hz and 25°C is ±20%, and tolerances of ±10% are also available.
