An insulation displacement contact (IDC) poke-in wire tap/splice connector combines a wire splice with power taps for use in commercial lighting ballast installations. IDC contacts in the splice allow for quick termination.

Poke-in connection to the power taps is made with pre-stripped solid wires and installers poke the stripped wire into the taps to complete the circuit. The connectors accept 18- and 12-AWG solid or stranded wire. Current rating is 7 A, and operating voltage is 600 V max.
