IntersilCorp. has opened a new design center in Hyderabad, India to augment the ongoing product developmentefforts at the Bangalore design center and further expand the company's presence in the Asia-Pacificregion.

The opening of the Hyderabad design centerin addition to the existing Bangalore design center will help Intersil attract top design talent in India. The team, which should ramp to over thirty engineers by the end of 2007, will accelerate the company's product initiatives in analog-mixed signaland power managementproducts to bring innovative products to market faster.

"India is an exciting market and well-positioned for phenomenal growth," said Dave Bell, Intersil's president and chief operating officer. "We know from experience that India is also home to many talented engineers. The talent in this new design center, in conjunction with our design center in Bangalore, will allow us to expand our development of high-performance analog ICs."
