Clarifying reports that it is selling off its Cell processorfab, Sony issued a statement that the company has not made any official announcement on the matter and the stories are mere speculations.
A Nikkei report claimed that Sony is planning to sell its chip lines, including its Cell facility, to Toshibafor $870 million.
Sony denied it is selling the LSI manufacturing facility, saying that "nothing concrete" has been determined.
