The 89PES24T6G2 PCIe Gen2 switch chip features 24 lanes with six ports and requires only 2.66 W typ or 4.22 W maxsaid to be the industry’s best performance per watt. Three other versions provide 24 lanes/3 ports, 6 lanes/6 ports, and 4 lanes/4 ports.
The Gen2 ICs provide the option of doubling the throughput of existing PCIe lanes to 5 Gbits/s. They are available in 19-mm flip-chip BGA packages with 1-mm ball spacing.
