Application and classification of electronic compass in the terminal
The mobile electronic compass is a software for mobile phones and a hardware for mobile phones. The direction and pitch angle can be displayed depending on the location of the phone.
Based on the readings of the electronic compass, the map is automatically rotated to the direction that the user can easily read. Great for people who don't use maps.
In addition, like the traditional compass, you can roughly estimate your location based on the landmarks (experienced people use it like GPS), control the direction of travel, and so on. An electronic compass, also called a digital compass, is a way to use the earth's magnetic field to determine the North Pole. Known as the Luojing in ancient times, modern magnetoresistive sensors produced by advanced processing technology have provided powerful help for the digitization of compasses.
Electronic compasses can be divided into flat electronic compasses and three-dimensional electronic compasses. The flat electronic compass requires the user to maintain the level of the compass when using it. Otherwise, when the compass is tilted, the heading change will be given and the heading does not change. Although the planar electronic compass is very demanding, the flat compass is a good price/performance option if the carrier attached to the compass is always level.
The three-dimensional electronic compass overcomes the strict limitation of the use of the planar electronic compass, because the three-dimensional electronic compass adds a tilt sensor to the inside, and if the electronic compass is tilted, the compass can be tilt-compensated, so that the heading data is accurate even if the compass is tilted. Nothing wrong. Sometimes in order to overcome the temperature drift, the compass can also be built-in temperature compensation to minimize the temperature drift of the tilt angle and the pointing angle.
Nowadays, an electronic compass processed by a magnetoresistive sensor and a fluxgate is generally used. Although GPS has a wide range of applications in navigation, positioning, speed measurement, and orientation, its accuracy is greatly reduced or even impossible to use because its signal is often blocked by terrain and features. Especially in high-rise buildings and densely populated forest areas, the GPS signal is only 60% effective.
And in the case of static, GPS can not give heading information. To compensate for this deficiency, a method of combined navigation orientation can be adopted. Electronic compass products are designed to meet the needs of users. It can effectively compensate the GPS signal to ensure that the navigation orientation information is 100% effective, even if the GPS signal is out of lock, it can work normally, so that "the star is not lost." This feature is also often used in many mobile games.
