17 general-purpose devices feature fast wake-up and 8 to 120 Kbytes of flash

The MSP430F23x/F24x/x26x families of low-power/high-performance 16-bit microcontrollers encompass 17 devices that feature 8 to 120 Kbytes of flash. The ICs take less than 1 µA of standby current max and yield a 20% reduction of operating current over previous versions, extending battery life of remote sensors, ZigBee transceivers, and handheld instruments applications.

The chips have a total addressable memory of 1 Mbyte without paging, supporting the development of more complex programs. They will wake up from standby in just 1 µs, have up to 2 Kbytes of RAM, and feature a digitally controlled oscillator with 2.5% accuracy.

An eight-channel 12-bit 200-ksample/s A/D converter is included on most versions and some have a 12-bit D/A and DMA. All devices have 16-bit timers and universal serial communication interfaces (USCI), and -40° to 105°C operation is optional. (
