Holzer BLDC ABLIC design optimization of the new sensor can detect and signal output reached 0mT

Update:2021-09-07 Views:6321

More and more household appliances and robotic vacuum cleaners are demanding low power consumption, silence, low vibration and other high performance control functions, while on-board motors and industrial motors need higher reliability and lower noise performance, which makes the application of BLDC more and more popular.Hall sensor is an important component of BLDC. Usually, bipolar Hall sensor can not detect signals passing through 0mT (zero millitesla), S and N poles, and when the signal reaches the detection point, it will take some time to output the signal, which will increase the power consumption by about 10%. Therefore, rigorous design is often required in the stage of equipment development, because the position accuracy of sensors and the deviation of sensor components may affect motor performance in many aspects. This disadvantage of bipolar Hall sensors often increases the calibration workload of manufacturing process.

In response to this problem, ABLIC developed a Hall sensor, which was displayed at the Shenzhen International Electronics Exhibition last week. Electronic enthusiasts went to the company booth to explore it.According to ABLIC field engineers, this Zero Crossing Latch Hall sensor does not use unipolar or bipolar latch detection, but uses a new detection method to solve the problems that plague traditional Hall sensors. This patented technology, known as Zero Crossing Latch, detects and outputs signals up to 0mT (zero millitesla). This makes the Hall sensor not only improve the flexibility of BLDC design, but also greatly improve the efficiency of the calibration process and the stability of the motor. The quality of the motor has also been significantly improved.

It is reported that the device has not yet been mass-produced, but in the market outside China, some customers have begun to import testing and use.
